Brand refresh
To embody the event's 'bigness' we confidently heroed the logo, and created a maximalist aesthetic with bright colours, bold typography, and lots of layered illustration.We also imbued a sense of exploration and discovery through a repeating block motif, which is based on the idea of interconnecting streets or blocks. By using it in different placements, sizes, and angles, it reflects the feeling of wandering around the blocks of The Valley, discovering something new on every corner.

Social Media
To build hype for the event, we created a flexible design system for social media. With the block motif, colour palette, illustrations, and dynamic typography to play with, there were endless ways to keep the content fresh and interesting while still being on brand.
We also created a social media asset generator for artists and speakers, a page on the Bigsound website where they could upload their photo, choose a theme, and add their name, to get their own branded asset to post on their channels. This empowered the artists and speakers to easily promote themselves and build brand recognition for Bigsound at the same time.
